Open call for LET festival residency

The call is intended for professional and semi-professional individuals engaged in performative arts such as non-verbal/physical theater, dance, clownery, flow arts, acrobatics, etc., who are interested in new forms of expression, connections with other artistic disciplines and work with public space. The residency will take place from 6 to 21 July 2024 in the city of Hranice in the Czech Republic.

The topic of this open call is VALUES. Together with the organsiers you will analyze the topic and then work with it in the form of workshops using various artistic tools. The output will be a series of site-specific performances in the public space of the city and subsequently at the traditional alternative music and theater festival LET, which has been held in Hranice for ten years.
Interested parties are requested to send the following by 20th June 2024 to [email protected]:

• professional CV
• 1 civilian face photo and 1 full body photo
• at least 3 representative photos or 1 video of your previous work
• a short motivation letter on the topic of VALUES (min. 1000 characters)

Based on the submitted materials, selected applicants will be invited to participate in the international residency. Travel and accommodation will be provided to the participants and a reward of up to 400 euros will be paid.

The project is supported by the cooperation of partner cities and regions grant program of the City of Hranice and the grant program of the Olomouc region in the field of culture.
