Studio Information

For local and international artists, the Artscape Lodge program offers short-term studio rentals.

Artscape Lodge is a program that offers artists affordable short-term studio and accommodation rentals at Artscape Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands. The Toronto Islands are a peaceful nature park in Toronto's harbour, just a short ferry ride away from the downtown core of Canada’s cultural capital. Naturalized areas and wildlife reserves make it a popular stopover point for southern songbirds. The Islands are also home to approximately 800 individuals whose remarkable community boasts one of the highest per capita populations of artists in Canada and is the largest urban car-free community in North America.

Artscape Lodge provides space to artists who want to focus on their work in a distraction-free environment. It is also ideal for artists who do not have full-time studios and require temporary workspace. Some artists come to conduct research, others to meet an impending deadline, and still others to take advantage of an environment that is highly conducive to creativity. Read more about the rates and amenities on the Artscape website.
