Description
Rural-C is a non-profit association created by artists and a culture producer. It aims to develop cultural experiences in the rural environment, while creating a network of production culture centers.
Their goal is to expand socio-cultural activities and contemporay art in the rural world, linking its agents to urban institution at regional, national and international level.
Rural C accompanies and assists artist during the realization of their projects, adivcing at selecting locations, working spaces and serving as social link with local communities and cultural agents. They will also help the artist to find funds.
Rural-C does not have a principal office. They work in different venues in the Spanish countryside, but have continuously worked in Villanueva de los Infantes (Ciudad Real), Villanueva del Duque (Córdoba), Monfero (A Coruña), Alga Lab Valadares (Vigo) and Saumede (Ourense).
Outcome
A documentation of the project will be posted on their website and disseminated through their network of institution and art collectives. Finished projects will be also publicly present in a venue chosen by both the artist and Rural-C.
Studio Information
All the locations have a workshop and storage space for the materials. Depending on the site the available equipment varies, something that should be considered beforehand.
You will also have access to a media lab with computers and Internet connection through WiFi.
Theses premises are in every case surrounded by an orchard, harvest fields and open nature.

It also varies depending on the location, but it always implies at least a bedroom or an apartment in a rural house with access to bathroom. It is better to contact Rural C to find out about the details.
