Description

Residential Arts Centre and Project Workshop for the promotion of the contemporary art and international exchange. In 25 years, Künstlerhaus Bethanien has hosted several hundred artists from all over the world and realized a great amount of projects and events in various disciplines and media. Presentation, publication and co-operation.

Outcome
Guests usually conclude their stay with the realisation of a project on the institute's premises. 20 to 30 events come about each year out of the studio program alone: exhibitions, work presentations, performances, and much more.
Studio Information
With its 25 studios, Künstlerhaus Bethanien represents one of the largest establishments among international residency programs.
Accommodation Information
Appr. 40 or 75 square meters, high ceilings of 4,70 meter and large windows, suiteable for various disciplines and purposes. As a rule, guest-artists live and work in their studios. Some outside apartments.
Location
The history of Künstlerhaus Bethanien is closely linked to the historical Bethanien, an architecturally unique ensemble of buildings on Mariannenplatz in the Berlin borough of Kreuzberg. However, since 2010 Künstlerhaus Bethanien has had a new location in Kottbusser Strasse, at the border between the two Berlin boroughs of Kreuzberg and Neukölln.
